Welcome to the WTFruit Sanctuary in Puna!   

Friends and Family --- You are more than welcome to stay here!   Would you like to visit?    

Here's what you need to know:

The WTFruit Farm is located on the Southeast side of the Big Island (Puna), about 25 minutes from Hilo (ITO airport).  

The Farm is off-grid, with fresh rainwater harvesting (2-level filters, and Quantum Disinfection System), and Outback SolarPower system.   There's internet with your cellular data, but no CableTV.

The 1 acre property is secured, fully fenced with a padlocked gate and is very private.

The weather and the lush greenery is just unbelievable.    There are dozens of ripening "white pineapple" plants and more amazing/tropical fruit than you’ve ever seen or tasted.    

This is a very authentic/local Hawaiian experience --- but definitely NOT a typical tourist/luxury/resort Hawaiian experience.  The terrain is basically rainforest-on-lava-flows.   There are quite a few uneven surfaces and you need to be mindful of your steps and have no general mobility issues.  Think of it as glamping in a well-groomed jungle.

There is a bit of "noise" around though:  a rooster farm is just next door.   And at night, you'll be serenaded by the "Puna Coqui Frog Community Choir", which will absolutely cure any tinnitus you may be experiencing.   In the morning, roosters and all the local avians will let you know the sun is rising.    

The WTFruit Farm is in "Hawaiian Paradise Park".   There are 2 towns nearby with easy shopping access:  Kea'au (7 miles) and Pahoa (9 miles).    The main town of Hilo (15 miles) is wonderful to explore with nice beaches, parks, caves, waterfalls.  Lots of great local natural food and farmer’s markets.  

Volcano National Park (30 miles) is about a 45 min drive.   When erupting or flowing, Kilauea is best seen at night.

If I'm not there, you can have the whole place to yourself, have full use of the 4WD RAV4, and run around buck-naked as much as you want (there really is that much privacy).    And if I am there, then I'd be happy to host you and you are more than welcome to the back unit (and everything else, of course).
